After a successful piloting in 2022 another minimal music workshop will be held in September 2023 with upper school students from a high school in Kassel participating. Results of the workshop will be presented to the public. In these workshops, the participants will work on pieces from the history of minimal music as well as develop their own compositions.
The pedagogical advantages and the inclusive nature of minimal music, its presuppositionlessness, simplicity and ‘timelessness’, the closeness to other cultures as well as a specific music-making attitude between the eternal poles of ‘E- and ‘U-music’ will be particularly emphasised in the workshop work.
